Maddalena Fanconi is a Decorative Artist specialised in design and application of top notch artisanal surface finishes and decorative painting.
Formally trained at the School of Fine Arts in Italy, where she gained a comprehensive knowledge of traditional decorative painting techniques and design process, achieving a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree.
The academic background served as a strong foundation for her career. Fanconi has worked for several renowned high-end decorative painting companies in Europe and in the United States. In most of her works she constructs intricate, textured skins for walls, panels and furniture made of plaster, metals and glaze. Such surfaces are inspired by natural texture and bear to pieces that blurs between art and design.
In her production, she always tries to link site construction rules with interior design needs and fine art vision, bringing them together in harmony and meaningful dialogue.
Being a Decorative Artist allows her to produce any styles according to the specification and preferences of clients, reflecting their values and vision, involving a wide range of mediums, techniques and artistic repertory.
Maddalena is also an Art Instructor, former Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts Santa Giulia in Brescia, northern Italy. She trains aspiring professional for the use and application of architectural coatings.
